I Think I Need A Lawyer

I have a preteen child with nonverbal severe autism. There was an incident at school last week where I was initially told my child “had a meltdown and scratched his arm.” The next day he was not allowed to go to school because his aid was “removed from service pending investigation of the incident.” I was then asked if he had any bruises. Now this has somehow escalated to the local children services being in charge of the investigation, and there was possibly a police report filed. There is a video, I have an appointment to watch it tomorrow, but my question is, do I need a lawyer? And if I do, what kind?
