I Was Just Released On Bond For A Nco Violation. The Very Next Morning A Cop Called My Phone Wants To Charge Me For The Same Thing Again.

So me and my ex had a domestic dispute a while, back where the state put in no contact order on us. Her being the protected party. She’s been messaging me nonstop since and I have replied a couple times. The officer arrested me on a warrant, took me to jail For a violation because she reported to them that messaged her cousin on her birthday and told her cousin to tell her happy birthday for me. A cop calls me the next morning after I get out on bail and says he has another message of me saying can I say something? And that text for me is a direct response to her blowing up my Snapchat going on a rant. He says it doesn’t matter if she contacts me cause she’s the protective party so she can all she wants. But the thing is, I just got arrested for violation of the no contact order for these messages in which he knew about both of them When he issued the warrant. Is that even legal? If he knew about both of them when he issued the warrant, how can he just wait for me to get out on bail and then try to grab me again saying they’re two separate messages? Not only that but since I’ve been released, I haven’t had any contact with her at all so there’s been no further violation Since my release. He’s already called me this morning saying if I don’t turn myself in by 4 o’clock, he’s gonna issue another warrant. What should I do? I called the defense attorney yesterday and he advised me not to do it but if I don’t, they’ll just put out a warrant and I’ll get stopped randomly somewhere and go straight to jail at least if I turn myself in, I can have bail lined up. But I don’t wanna walk into extra chargesthat I shouldn’t be receiving as well.
