If A Spouse Caretaker Was Purposefully Neglectful And Abusive But The Caretakee Died 4 Months Ago (not From Negligence), Do The Police Even Care Now? Should I Bother To Report This To Them? It Was Anonymously Reported To Adult Protective Services While It Was Happening But They Never Followed Up.

The caretaker did things like

1 keep the brain injured dependent person (whose main issue and cause of injury was seizures, more of which could kill them) from their anti-seizure medication for days while lying to authority figures and family that she had given him the medication when in reality she never filled the prescriptions and was actually giving him random medicine prescribed to other people (with seizures as a side effect of those wrong meds)

2 refuse to take them to the doctor after hitting their head with obvious signs of concussion (blown out pupils, memory wiped). When forced to take him to the doc by family she did not follow up even when the tests ordered found a large mass in their brain. (This was the cancer they died from a month later)

4 refusal of free provided professional help/oversight for the person, and

5 making up stories to the person about them doing bad things to the caretaker so they could verbally abuse them for being abusive (ridiculous stories that were 100% impossible).

There were more things but I only have proof of these, other than 5 which I only have some evidence but not proof of, though I witnessed it.

I don't want to be involved in this situation anymore, I felt like the original report was enough and I cut contact right afterward, but now I feel like I really messed up by not calling the cops right away and I hate that this person is now enjoying all their victims money and possessions with no repercussions and is being comforted by the family of their victim because they don't know the hell he endured at her hands.
