Intellectually Disabled Daughter Is Being Charged With Aggravated Assault.

I’m going to try to break this down as easy as possible. My child is an adult legally, but she is in severely intellectually compromised. I received a phone call last week from a detective looking for my daughter saying she is being charged with aggravated assault, but that she wants to talk to her to see if she can help herself out. I explained to this detective that my daughter has an advocate who would probably tell her not to go be interrogated by the police, and this detective explained to me that she would then just put out a warrant. at this point, I’m not really sure what to do. I don’t know if we should get a lawyer that we can’t afford or do I just wait and see if they actually charge her. What are my daughter’s rights being as though she’s disabled? How should I go about handling this? I’m not sure if she could be placed in prison for something like very worried for her. Thanks you to whoever responds????
