Is It Legal To Place Bets On Offshore Gambling Sites If My State Bans Online Casinos?

Got myself in a potentially sketchy situation and need some guidance before I make it worse.
So I've been placing some bets online sing a VPN since my state has strict laws against online gambling. Hit a pretty nice win streak on some sportsbets and now sitting on a decent chunk of change.
Before I try to withdraw, want to make sure I'm not about to catch a case. Don't want to fumble the bag by doing something dumb.
Main questions:
- How illegal is this exactly?
- Can I actually withdraw without getting in trouble?
- What's the deal with reporting gambling winnings from offshore sites on taxes? I'll sell the crypto on Coinbase I guess.
Not looking for a lecture about responsible gambling (though I probably deserve one lol). Just want to know where I stand legally.
Located in KY if that matters. Thanks fam.
