Is This A Protection Order Violation?

Card image cap

My wife has a restraining order against her brother. We live in a split level home. He is allowed to visit my elderly mother in law on the top floor but is not allowed access to the lower level of the house, not allowed to contact directly or indirectly the judge in his ruling specifically mentioned the elderly mother as far as indirect contact. The order was granted. Here is were my question lays. Neither my wife nor her brother informed the mother who is in her 90’s about the restraining order she has moderate dementia and is prone to anxiety and aggression however, the brother told his mother about the order today it seems. It is likely he told her about it because we are having a plumbing issue and she likely asked him to go look at it. as when my wife crossed paths with her mother started verbally attacking my wife calling her a monster and accusing her of random wrong doings. I am wondering if this is indirect contact because there was no reason for him to frankly weaponize the elderly mother. We are based in Massachusetts.
