Italian Traffic Ticket
I received two traffic tickets from Italy (within the 360 day time limit) in 2023. I ignored it considering I thought they were both super fishy and totalled 800 dollars, both for driving in "restricted zones".
I'm now getting mail from a collections agency on behalf of the Italian police, with some additional $400 dollars of collection and late fees. It doesn't look like the debt has been sold to the collections agency considering I'm still being asked to pay to the Italians.
The key question I have is whether there is anything stopping the collections agency from reporting this to any of the three American Credit Agencies. Thanks for your help!
