Landlord’s Husband Wants Us Out But Landlord Does Not

As the title states, the landlord is who we pay rent to. She wants us here. Her husband is here illegally and was supposed to get papers through their marriage, but he cheated on her and he’s refusing to move out of her house so now he’s trying to move into our house which we are renting from the wife. He put a handwritten eviction paper that we ignored because the wife said to ignore it and now he is taking us to civil court stating that we need to be out. Both the wife and the husband‘s name are on the house we are renting from. But the lease is under the wife. Now we have civil court next month cause he’s trying to evict us and I’m wondering if there’s anything that can be done as we are in the middle of technically a marriage dispute also while we’re in court, can I bring up that he doesn’t have papers? Will this be an issue because I’m sick of him harassing us and he’s here illegally. Live in the state of Texas of this matters.
