Large Pharmacy Mixed My Account With Someone Else

Card image cap

Hi, curious about any options here. I (USA) share a name and dob with someone who lives across the country. Our pharmacy accounts got mixed up. This summer I started receiving notifications that x medication is available for pickup at (across the country) location. Oddly enough, we share many of the same medications. I assumed my account had been hacked. I changed the password / canceled the order. This happened about three times before I called and found out what was actually going on. My account was entangled with someone else who shares my name and dob. They were not able to pinpoint which location was making the mistake, but it seemed like it might be both of them. Evidently, this has been somewhat going on for years. Like, her insurance has been listed under my account and my insurance hasn't paid anything for medication since fall 2022. So far, I have been promised a refund of the copays for medications I've paid (little bills that likely won't exceed $60). The pharmacy is going to eat the other cost of medications. The local guy helping me with this said he has been working on untangling everything for a few weeks and is in direct communication with several back-end teams. He keeps asking if there's anything he can do, but not specifically giving offers or options. I've likely spent about 3 hours on the phone dealing with this. I'm curious on what, if anything, I should ask for as compensation or even potentially sue? This happening feels like a big deal in terms of it being a breach of mine and someone else's health data. At the same time, no one was harmed.
