Ltd Settlement Offer

I have a question which I am embarrassed to ask my lawyer. My Ltd disability was cut off at the 2 year mark. Agreed I am disabled own occupation but not any occupation. My doctors disagree and I am fighting them. They have offered to put me back “on the books” but I am no longer interested in dealing with them. My lawyer sent an original request to settle. Nothing outlandish. My back pay since they cut me off and future pay for the 6 years I have remaining to work. I am 58. My lawyer also factored in cpp disability being approved and only requested the difference in our settlement offer. We expect a counter offer next week and my question is what is the usual counter offer look like. My case is worth 150k. Will they come back with something absolutely ridiculous? Is there a percentage they take off. Ie) offer me 50%…..lol. See you in court if that happens. I just want an idea of what to expect. Money is getting tight as I have been without income for one year and living on my partners pension is stretching us. Basically, I’m hoping to get a decent counter and end this madness. My lawyer has held back my medical for CPP disabilty which is very strong. He held it back because we had not rec’d it prior to maki g our first offer to settle. So he is holding it in case we need it. I am low key willing to accept 100k but I have not shared this with my lawyer. Would 100k be too high for the insurance to counter with or is it reasonable. The back and forth is going to cost me 4 to 6 weeks and I don’t think I have that much time. Any insight would be helpful. I am in Ontario if that matters. Thank you!
