Lyft Driver - Assaulted Giving Ride, And Permanently Deactivated For Riders Lying

Important background- Have given over 25,000 rides in 7 years with a perfect 5* rating. Mostly in the MD, DC, and VA area.
Months ago, I was assaulted by a rider while giving them a ride. Resulted in visible marks on face and head, and a short visit to hospital. Police were contacted, and currently sorting through that process with them to press charges.
In the last week, I’ve had my driver account permanently shutdown due to riders lying about me drunk driving (no other rides from the night of this claim had any complaints) and a couple nights later, marked me for poor driving etc bc I wouldn’t let them ride 5 people in a 4 seat car.
Lyft provides no investigation and does not obligate the rider to provide a burden of proof that these things were true. It just moves to automatic suspension of account.
This is how I make my livelihood. Do I have any legal options as far as suing Lyft for their lack of responsibility for the assault or these riders for lying? Not sure how it works since drivers are technically independent contractors. But to me, if someone lies and I lose my job, I should absolutely be able to pursue action against them and/or the company for wrongful termination.
Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. It’s unbelievable that after years of flawless and outstanding service, this is how drivers are treated.
