Me And My Girlfriend Got Assaulted At A Bar

My girlfriend and I were having dinner at a restaurant. There was a group of people who were drinking and dancing there. One of them called me a slur and I replied similarly but verbally. One of his friends caught us while we were making an exit and asked me whats going on. I just told him to tell his friend to be nice. He shoved me back, this led to my girlfriend trying to get to him while I was holding her back. There was 3 girls from that group who threw her down and about 3 of those guys who were trying to push and punch me. I defused the situation and got her out but we both got injured in the process. I am on a visa and I did not hit back anyone in offense. I want to report this incident but am afraid of the repercussions. My girlfriend is a US citizen. Any help is much appreciated. This incident was caught on security cameras. The restaurant also did not have any security.

I would like to add that this felt like a racially motivated attack.
