Molested As A Child- Now 42 And Finally Found Out My Molesters Identity

Hello so long story short I was molested from the time I was four until I was 10 years old by a man that my parents I guess you could say let babysit me. All these years they've hidden his identity even told me he was dead at one point but I have finally found him and I am trying to find out since now I am 42 years old you know a really don't want to go through a criminal thing but I was looking and I want to know what is the percentage of me winning a civil case against him and I'm in Texas I have till I'm 48 years old to sue him in civil court and also I was reading that people can be held responsible too and I'm trying to see could I sue in civil Court him and also my parents because they have hid his identity and basically turned a blind eye to this man molesting me or could they be held responsible too?
