Money Still Owed

Hey all, Because money has been painfully tight lately I’ve hesitated going to a lawyer to ask about this, but I figure y’all might be able to at least point me in the right direction.
Last August, the (Ohio based) company I had been working at went bankrupt. They gave us an hour to leave the property, told us our insurance was good for what was left of the month (something like 10 days) and wished us good luck. Problem is, I had already logged 40 hours from the week prior… and here we are in February 2025 and still no paycheck. I recently got in contact with the man who hired me to begin with, asking about W2’s and who I can contact regarding the $880 that they still owe me, but as it figures he only responded to the first question.
My question for y’all - is there a snowball’s chance in hell that I get my money, or is this simply a lost cause?
Edit - I have contacted the Ohio Dept of Labor, however this was ~160 days ago and have not heard anything from them.
