Motorcycle Hit Us But Now Has Hired A Lawyer

This happened in Texas nearly 2 months ago. A young man hit our back driver-side corner after gunning it around a corner while my husband was driving. The police gave him a citation for "failure to control speed" and the accident report stated he was the only vehicle at fault. Paramedics said he wasn't terribly injured, but they still requested an air transport because "it was a motorcycle vs. vehicle" accident. He never reached out to my insurance, though we have done everything by the book and reached out to ours. I was the one who ran to him and directed him to remain still until paramedics arrived as I was on the phone with 911. Today I got a call from an accident lawyer representing him wanting me to give a statement as a "witness" because they got my name and number from the 911 transcript. They wanted to have me tell them what I saw to determine liability. I didn't answer the call. I don't plan to call them back. I notified my insurance that a lawyer reached out to us.

I know the insurance company does not provide legal help, so I thought I'd ask actual lawyers - do I, or should I, reach out to a lawyer to represent us? I can't afford that, so I'm pretty stressed right now with worry about what they can do to us. What's your best advice?

By the way, I took a lot of pictures at the scene that show where all parties were located, the damages, even how far away the traffic lights were from the point of collision. I turned all of that over to our insurance on the first day.
