Moving Company Now Wants $double$ A Week After They Left My Previous Home...

So, let me preface this by saying, I'm asking for friend a of mine. She's an almost 70yo single woman. She decided to move, but before doing so, sold 75% of her belongings. She had her bedroom furniture, her clothing, and some other miscellaneous stuff to move a few states away (900mi). She was quoted $3k. They put her stuff on their truck at the end of December. Well, she's still sleeping on the floor. It's been over 2 weeks. She called to see what the holdup was and they told her they wanted another $2500 to deliver her stuff. It's not even my money and I'm outraged. Where does someone start in a situation like this? She is retired and single and isn't made of money. Let me also add, they didn't have to move any appliances as she was in an apartment. It's literally one small bedroom of stuff.
