My Daughter Is Owed Commission From Her Job And Company Wont Pay It And Hangs Up When She Calls To Ask About It (massachusetts)

My daughter lives in Mass and recently left her employer where she worked for an apartment complex as a leasing agent. She is owed about 2,000 in commission for her last month of employment. She received her last paycheck 2 weeks ago and the commission was not on there. She has attempted to reach out to them several times, but when she does..they simply answer the phone and immediately hang up on her.

When she was originally hired she had to sign an arbitration agreement. She can still log into her payroll system and she says there is now a "new" arbitration agreement in the system saying that she needs to sign it. I have told her since she is no longer employed there she is under no obligation to sign any new paperwork. Also I have told her to contact wage and labor, but she is worried she may get in trouble because the arbitration agreement.

Is there anything else we can/should do. Any recourse from the employer if she does file a wage and labor since she isnt going through arbitration??
