My Ex Boyfriend Is A Physician And Disseminated My Private Health Information Without My Permission. Do I Have A Leg To Stand On?

Went through a nasty breakup and got my butt kicked in a DV situation by my ex. I just moved out today. 20 minutes into me being gone, he texted my mother that I had an abortion. This is information I had kept under lock and key, only including him because he was the father and he knew that/supported my decision and even pushed for it. He knew my mom was the last person I wanted to ever find out. Aside from charges for DV and getting a non-violent EPO to give me some backing since we are both in the medical field, could I pursue action against him for telling my mother that information with obvious malicious intent?
