My Friend Is Being Taken Advantage Of By His Company Due To His Immigration Status.

Good evening all, I’ve been watching my friend’s mental health slowly deteriorate over the past few months ever since he got his new job. We are in the U.S., but he’s not from here and is working on getting his green card, which his company is offering to pay for. He works as a contractor, and in his contract it states that he should be working 40 hours a week, but this is where the issue arises. The company is making him work insane hours. We’re talking regular 16 hour days, working all day on Saturdays, etc. My friend has told me the company is in violation of the contract, but there’s nothing he can do because if he protests they’ll fire him and he’ll lose the funding for his green card or worse get deported. (he’s here legally, for now). He also doesn’t want to sue for similar reasons. Does he have any recourse here?
