My Husband Asking For Annulment Instead Of Divorce

My husband (M62) and I (F52) are considering getting divorced.

We have been married for 19 years with a 13 year-old child. My husband owns a business and has fairly high income. I am retired and we are paying bills from his income. We saved up enough for our retirement with no debt. Currently living in Alaska.

My husband asked me for annulment instead of divorce. I did some research and found the annulment would be advantage for my husband on asset division. (Alaska doesn't usually practice spousal support. They divide asset more for the person with no income.)

Per my research, I don't think we fall in the annulment requirements in Alaska anyway, but I just want to be prepared. Are there anything else I should be aware of?
