My Job Accidentally Transferred My Employee Data To Another Store And Are Currently Unable To Fix It. I’m Currently Not Getting Paid Because Of It.

I’m in a real jam right now, and a friend suggested I post this here, so apologies if this isn’t the right sub. I’m from the US. Earlier this month, I got a promotion at my job in a chain store. However, whoever updated my employee account for said promotion in the company computer accidentally transferred all of my employee data to a completely different store multiple states away (don’t ask how they managed to do that, I don’t know either). No one here has any idea how to fix it. Because of this, my paychecks are being sent to that store instead, and I haven’t been paid for nearly two weeks now. They’ve gotten in touch with the other store my data/paychecks were transferred to, and unfortunately they have no idea how to fix this blunder, either.
Normally, I wouldn’t mind waiting for the problem to be solved, but I’m going through a major family emergency right now, and I desperately need all the money I can. This accidental transfer truly couldn’t have happened at a worse time for me.
My question is, what can I do about this? Should I sue for missed wages, or just wait it out a bit longer and hope that they can have my paychecks for me by the end of the month? I seriously have no idea what I can or should do.
