My Lowlife Neighbors Got My Truck Towed

Card image cap

I want to fight a towing fee that I received today, and need some advice on what steps to take. My mom lives in a very hill-y neighborhood that makes it hard for my manual 1997 truck to get around in. She also has a very very steep driveway that my truck cannot make it up. I was helping her move all day going back and forth from her house to the new place. I parked my truck at the end of the driveway on the side of the road. There is a ditch on the side of the road so I pulled as far off the road as I could without getting stuck in the ditch. My tires were in the road but that’s about it. More than half of my truck was off the road. We were able to move perfectly fine around my truck hauling things in a big dodge ram 1500 with a wide trailer on the back. My neighbors called the sheriff and told them that “in the case of an emergency, an emergency vehicle would not be able to park in front of their house because of where my truck was parked. So the sheriff called a tow company and they towed my truck and charged me $200. My truck was no where near their house. I have video proof of where my truck was parked and how it was more than 100 ft away from their house. I am a college student and can’t afford a fee like this. I believe my truck was wrongfully towed and I want to take action to dispute this fee
