My Parents May Have Stolen My Restitution

A few years ago I was injured and needed emergency surgery and after the insurance I believe it was $40k left to pay. That’s just what my father told me as I was still on his insurance since I was under 25. Years later I was awarded restitution which he payed me 1000 a few times over the course of a couple months. My friend that was living with me was robbed and I guess after that my dad claimed to not trust me with money even though nothing was taken from me. He stopped giving me the rest and claimed that he had to pay the rest of the medical bill.

What I’m wondering is if there’s any way I can find if he was allowed to keep it all from me like that and maybe if way more was awarded I would never know and is there any way to find out like a record that a lawyer or I could access?

Edit: he also tried to open a lawsuit on separate person who rear ended me and totaled my car and then attacked me. He told me that he wasn’t filing a suit but then the DA called me and I accidentally canceled it because I didn’t know he was suing. What can I do about this stuff he tried to do behind my back?
