My Part Time Job Is Requiring Me To Work 9 Day Straight.
I am from Central California, working part-time as a maintenance worker for my local McDonald’s. I have recently put in a request to have Monday and Tuesday off for school. The request was approved and took effect the week of January 26th. After the new work schedule came out, it lined up with my previous week, making me work 9 days straight, that being January 25th-February 2nd. I brought this up to my store manager, and I was told that it lined up with either the new week or new pay period, so it was perfectly legal. Our pay periods are the 7th and the 22nd of every month, and our schedules are based on a Wednesday to Tuesday week alignment. Just wanted to seek advice on the legality of this because I don’t know enough to know if she is right or just lying.
