My ex Soccer coach owes me and over 12 players 70k

The soccer club is in Maryland, the coach asked me and multiple people for deposit money ranging from 300$-2000$ to go on a trip to Ireland, initially was set up so we go February 2024 but then postponed to summer 2024, then postponed to an undisclosed date, multiple players contacted him saying they want their money back, he always makes excuses saying his family member died and needs time to grieve or that the hotels he paid are having trouble, mind you it’s been 6months plus already and no refunds or payments given back. He also owes multiple people money for leagues and trainings that didn’t occur. All in all he owes some people 3-4- and 5 figures to some. Should we all do a civil lawsuit against him and his club together or file separately? Talk to police? The league we played in? It’s our hard earned money, he stole from talented players in the dmv.

Majority of the players all have screen shots of their payments and text messages as well, we never got what we paid for, he basically scammed us all imo. Constantly says he will pay some people back but never does.
