My Stepmother Died Who Was Married To My Dad (he Passed Away 2 Years Earlier) I Was Given Only 10k Check From Their 250k Estate When I Was Told I Would Get Half. It’s Not Also About The Money But How This Is Handled Is Horrible.

My stepmothers sister in law is being so sketchy with the estate, whom she was given power of attorney. My stepmother had a will but now she "can't find it". She said Florida's rules are different trying to gaslight me but that was half of my fathers money and she was a mother to me and told me multiple times half is mine. The sister in law took all of the cash out, and wrote even great nieces 10k checks each. My parents would be sickened to what's going on. Sister in law never filed my stepmothers will and is going off of her granddaughters business degree from community college. No lawyer. Now she says she can't find it when I ask for it. Does power of attorney even apply now that she passed? Please help me on this.
