My Underage Nephew Is A Violent Menace, But The State Doesn't Seem To Want To Do Anything About Him.
So my 14 year old nephew is seriously a menace - he's been arrested numerous times for assault, not following court orders, running away and auto theft.
He's assaulted his mother, including actually breaking a bone, his uncle, friends parents - including trying to assault them with a weapon and multiple other children at school.
He's caused property damage in multiple places.
He's been carrying guns.
He constantly steals alcohol and food.
This kid has gone on racist tirades at some black girls because they didn't like his girlfriend, and tried to run them over with a stolen car.
Literally just yesterday he was arrested after video evidence was shown of him driving a stolen vehicle and running multiple red lights. They released him the next morning.
When he's in court he's literally smiling and laughing because he knows there won't be any consequences for his actions.
He's been hospitalized for alcohol poisoning 2-3 times (I know for sure twice, unsure on the third one).
He's become such a problem my sister refuses to let him back in her home - the state keeps trying to insist she has to, eventually DCYF took custody of him, but he just left again.
We've reached out to the police who actually know him on sight he's such a prolific trouble maker, and they tell us there's nothing more they can do. DCYF says there's nothing that can be done.
Nobody seems to be willing to do anything and all he seems to be learning is there are no actual consequences for his actions.
We live in Washington state, and I'm just wondering if there is anything that can be done?
This kid clearly should not be free to roam the streets and keep doing this stuff. He's literally actually violent and attempted vehicular homicide.
