I’m a contractor to a company. We received a message recently of an upcoming meeting (company wide) where owners plan on having their attorney explain and sign an NDA. My only issue is: some of this company’s business practices can be “questionable “ at times. The main reason anyone is opting to stay with this company is simple: money. And lots of it. Specially in such a saturated market. And anyone’s contract can and has been terminated for any and all different sort of reasons. A very stressful yet lucrative business. And quite frankly, our only potential recourse- given the possibility of contract termination- is using some of these business practices as leverage in litigation. And this is a last resort. A no-other-option recourse. But make no mistake, I’ve personally seen several instances where I believe in my heart that a person terminated should have sought legal counsel. So I’m curious what anyone might think about this. Experienced similar maybe. Offer advice possibly. And yes, I know that not signing this document will result in termination. Thanks in advance…….
