Nda For Deposit Return.

Was supposed to have moved into an apartment in December, I paid in advance for the month including security deposit and other fees.

Move in day comes and the apartment is INFESTED with cockroaches EVERYWHERE.

I let the leasing office know and don’t move in, they spray the unit, I come back and there are still tons of pests.

Leasing office offers to give me a full refund, they claim the check will come from their headquarters and can be picked up in the office.

Few weeks go by no words. I reach out.

They say come by and sign a release form to get your refund. I go and read the form and request an amendment to it as it claimed it was drafted with my input and edits in addition it bars me from speaking about my experience publicly in any disparaging manner. They refuse to edit the release document and ask me how I want to move forward.

I ask them for clarification if my refund is being held contingent on me signing the release. They don’t reply. I show up in person and they acknowledge it verbally.

I refuse to sign the NDA. Any advice? This is in Georgia U.S
