I’m looking for support/ advice in dealing with CPS (Ohio)

I tested positive for weed when I gave birth, and was reported to CPS. My usage was discussed with my doctor and okayed due to extreme sickness and weight loss. We were contacted by a case worker and was told that we would have an in home visit, two drug tests and our case would be closed.

I passed both tests, but my caseworker called and said I needed to do a mental health assessment due to someone else in their care abusing a child. I complied, when I showed up it was actually drug abuse counseling . They gave me a urine test that I failed because of 2 edibles I had eaten a week prior (i thought my case was going to he closed or i wouldn’t have eaten them) The councilor is now recommending me to outpatient rehab. I haven’t heard from my case worker on what she would like me to do. She’s also added in another home visit.

I am at such a loss of what to do and what my rights are as it’s not clear. I was mislead and lied to by my caseworker; have never had to deal with anything like this and don’t know what I should do next.

Is it within my rights to decline rehab and turn away cps at this point. I don’t want them to come back with a court order but feel like I’ve been mislead and strung along for something that is legal. I’m not breastfeeding and my child is very well taken care of.
