Other Party Not Cooperating After Car Accident

Two nights ago I was driving down a straight stretch of road when a car in the turn lane pulled or slid out in front of me. I tried my best to avoid him but scraped his car and wrecked mine off the road. When I got out to see if they were okay I found out the driver didn't speak English, so we had to wait until his family got there to translate. They informed me he was visiting from china and was in a rental car that they had rented for him. I called the police but they didn't show up until about 3 hours after the accident, at this point my car had been towed. Now they keep texting me and asking me if was speeding etc and trying to get me to admit fault. Because the car was an Enterprise car, they weren't able to provide insurance info at the scene of the accident. I've been reaching out the past two days and her husband said they have progressive and have already filed a claim, but they're withholding the policy number and claim info. I believe they had the rental car under their name and it's possible the driver wasn't listed on the contract. How do I protect myself in this situation aside from documenting all conversations?
