Pasadena Ca. We Had To Evacuate And The Airbnb We Stayed At For A Few Days Is Claiming We Dirtied Their Living Room Rug To The Time Of $3200

We absolutely did not damage or dirty the rug. We never even wore shoes inside the house. The rug also already had some darker areas and dirt areas.

It's been sent to Airbnb resolutions but, I do not want to pay. We are not guilty of the damage. If they rule for the host, can I get my attorney to fight this? Or did I agree to abiding by their resolution team when I signed up?

They are investigating saying they asked for pics with timestamps from Before our stay. But I want to see the receipt that makes that rug worth $3200. It's a regular rug. Nothing in the place was outrageously expensive.

I don't trust Airbnb to mediate this and I absolutely refuse to pay for something we didn't do. Can I fight this if Airbnb rules in host's favor? Can they charge my card without notifying me?
