Property Disputes After My Dad Died

Card image cap

My Dad died in late 2023 (December to be exact) and after there was a lot of questions on how to split the property. My dad made it very clear to all of his side and my mommas side of the family that if something was to happen to him he wanted all his things to go to me (I'm a 16M, his youngest child, and his only son). Now when he died some of my nephews and nieces wanted some clothes to remember him by which I had no problem with at all and was there when they took them. The problem arises when my sisters (who are all grown) started to take stuff that I was clear I wanted to keep his old lawn mowers, silver coins, etc and even asked me where my key was so that they could pay a safe deposit box. But ended up just taking the silver out of there too. They also said they wanted to move the lawnmower equipment to a different state even after I expressed I wanted it to stay home.

My question I have is that me and my other sisters have been thinking of contacting a lawyer on Monday and I wanted to know what some red and green flags would be for them based on this situation, aswell as some good questions? So that I can get the thorough representation that I need. So what should I do?

(Sorry for the long winded post I just wanted to make sure that I explained the situation clearly ????)
