Rental Agreement Document Says "click Here To Enter Text." Where There Should Be A Date

This is something I've notified my land lord about and he is going to send me an updated document, but I'm curious exactly the consequences would be if I signed the current document and pretended I didn't see the error.

It is in the section that deals with late fees when rent isn't paid. I won't quote it exactly but it essentially says "A late fee will be added for payments made after Click here to enter text of the month."

If this document went through would I be immune to late fees? Would I get in trouble if I didn't notify my land lord of the error.

If it matters, I live in Illinois.
