Rental Management Forfeited, Is Lease Void?
So to give the quick and dirty, the place we used to live was definitely not great, for a variety of reasons. We recently moved out, and we're having the whole security deposit fight, pretty standard these days sadly.
But while looking into everything we need to go to small claims, we discovered that the LLC the property had us sign under not just once, but twice, hasn't been a legal entity since 2021, before we ever signed the first lease.
Their status shows their LLC was forfeited 6-1-21, whereas we signed 6-15-21, then again in April the next year.
Would this have made the lease null and void, considering they had no legal standing to operate to begin with?
I live in Kansas, for any help that may or may not be.
