School Pick Up And Drop Off Parking In My Front Yard

Card image cap

I recently moved into a new house that is across the street from an elementary school. In front of my house there is a sidewalk that separates part of my front yard. The parents of the kids use the front of my yard to park their cars in. While it is in front of the sidewalk, I am still responsible to maintain and repair any damages to the grass area they park on. When it rains, the cars tear up the grass and they leave trash like dirty diapers, and wet wipes on the ground. I called the school to ask if they could have the parents stay in the car pick up line instead of parking in my front yard and they advised that they have the legal right to park in my grass. I do not want to be an asshole, but when my yard gets torn up and trash is left behind, I do have a problem with it. What are my legal rights? I live in Florida.

I also have concerns because there are kids who wait on their parents in front of the house and they run around in my driveway and if one of them gets hurt, I will be held responsible.
