Seeking Advice On Cps Case Against My Child’s Father
My 14 year old recently informed me that her father has been sexually abusing her for a few years. She let me know she kept the secret so that he would not get in trouble. We have been co parenting for the majority of her life but she was living with him for a while off and on. I have been in contact with cps and the detectives through cps, and my case is under review with the state attorney. I did record my child’s father without his knowledge, admitting to showing her “how to touch herself” after numerous denials. I shared every recording with the detective. Cps did report that sexual abuse is indicated and has requested that my daughter seek treatment from a therapist. I believe my child’s father is sociopath and is denying that he’s don’t anything despite telling me otherwise. He is now getting a family lawyer and after avoiding cps and getting a warrant he is willing to speak to cps. Do I have a chance to seek prosecution?? Or will he continue to get away with this?
