Small Claims Court

I’ll try to make this as short as possible. So I moved to Indiana a year ago and I got absolutely duped on an apartment. There were some things weird about the bathroom, the flooring was poorly grouted and the bathroom door rubbed against the floor very notably but I needed a place. The building is owned by a family and I didn’t realize until a few months in how messed up the situation was but it came to a head when the building manager called me while I was out to tell me that my apartment was leaking into the basement/shared laundry room. I came back home quickly after she accused me of leaving a sink on and when we entered the apartment there was nothing. The maintenance man pulled up my bathroom floor to see SEVERE water damage. She said it would take 2 weeks and I’d be left bathroomless the whole time, but I could use a bathroom in an empty unit on the opposite side of the building. Due to health issues that would be a huge problem for me not to mention an absolute inconvenience. She never offered to move me in to the empty unit, never offered to put me in a hotel. I tried to figure out a solution (never said no to maintenance) but I knew I had to figure something out. A week later she sends me an eviction notice for not letting her do the work. A week after that I moved out. Now she is trying to get money for damages to the bathroom claiming “excessive splashing”. Even though the damage was there when I moved in. I have court in a few days and I’m very nervous. The money she’s asking for would absolutely ruin me. Any advice?
