Speeding Ticket In Norway

I visited Norway in Summer 2024 and got a speeding ticket from a police officer. I am Canadian but live in the UK. I had my Canadian drivers licence with me so the officer took all my information in Canada which only had my parents address. Since then, they have sent my parents three letters (latest last week) asking me to pay and threatening that l it will go to collection agency. I visit my family in Canada every year and I am not planning to visit Norway anytime soon. I do not have any assets in Canada.

Did anyone have a similar situation in Canada? What happens next? Do they really send it to collection agency in Canada?
