Storage Unit Broken Into

Card image cap

can you sue a storage facility for not having surveillance after getting your unit broken into? found out myself yesterday around 2pm as i was going to pick some stuff up, the overhead door was open and the remaining stuff was exposed. went to the office and told them what was going on, i then filed a police report. incident either happened the night before, after office closed at 6pm (still have access to units till 9pm), or anywhere from morning up until when i found out. workers at this facility check the storage units before leaving or the morning they get to office, hence why it could’ve happened the same day i found out. although, we went inside to go check on footage (cop was gone at this point), and for some odd reason she couldn’t access footage from the day before or day of (days where we suspected it should’ve happened). claiming that it’s odd bc she couldn’t access cameras that had the angles we needed but she was able to access other cameras that were irrelevant ?????? again, only dates of yesterday and day before. she was also only able to retrieve footage from a week ago from cameras we needed.
