Teacher Accused, But Innocent

I was accused of having a vape pen during a school trip, but it is not true. Details below:

We took our 6th grade class to Camp Keep. It is a fun 3-night trip for students to learn about science. While on that trip, a naturalist said she smelled marijuana in the teachers' cabin. Three of us were called in and we all denied smelling marijuana and we all denied having it on us. A few hours later, I was put on administrative leave. According to my colleague, who hates me, she said that I was vaping in the bathroom. It is not true. I cannot express how false that accusation is. This colleague has bullied me throughout the year. One time, she "joked" about having her students wear shirts according to their state test level. Below grade level? They can only wear red. That should give you insight into what kind of person she is. She does not like me and I do not like her.

She lied about me supposedly vaping in the bathroom. She claimed she saw smoke and smelled a funny odor when she used the bathroom after me. No one saw me with a vape, no one said I looked intoxicated, nothing. The only "evidence" they have is a naturalist claiming she smelled marijuana in the cabin and a false accusation of a teacher. Oh, and a lie that I used the bathroom every 15 minutes. I did not. I used it once every couple of hours.

I have been on paid administrative leave for one month. The school did not request a drug test, but I provided a clean drug test at my own expense. I am still on leave.

In this meeting, I did report all instances of bullying that I had experienced and I blamed the teacher's disdain for me as the reason for being falsely accused.

I'm at a loss. I could lose my credential and/or any ability to ever work in a school again.

Do I hire a wrongful termination lawyer? I do not know what to do.
