The Grooming Salon Who Caused My Dog's Death Trying To Scare Me
Hello! My name is M. Long story short, in mid-October, we sent my dog to a local grooming salon. Due to their negligence and lack of professionalism, they let my one year old puppy escape from the salon, and my dog was hit by a car and died. After the incident, the salon never responded to our emails or calls until we went to the police station, where the police helped us contact them. Eventually, this salon ended up compensating us only around 66% of our dog's original price, despite us showing them the purchase price of our dog.
Later, I shared the story about the salon on Reddit and some FB group. Some warm hearted people helped by leaving a one star reviews (about ten of them) on their Google map page. However, last week we received an email from the salon accusing us of trying to tarnish their reputation and demanding that we shut up. They also claimed they had already reported us to the police and they would do so again if we didn't stay quiet.
The death of my dog has already hit me really hard, l don't remember how many nights I tried to sleep with taking medication to help me reduce anxiety. I swear that everything l've stated online is the truth, but at this point, I don't understand where justice is. Why is the grooming salon responsible for my dog's death acting so confidently? I don't know what to do. I would really like to warn other dog owners to avoid going there, but I’m also scared if they would really do something to me.
