Unemployed Roommate Is Trying To Have My Partner And I Legally Removed From Our Apartment

I live in NJ with my partner and a roommate. My partner and I both work full time and are living paycheck to paycheck, while our roommate who comes from a rich family lost her job last year and promised that she would look for jobs but has stayed unemployed ever since. She gets money from her parents to pay rent, when we ask her to pay her share of utilities she tells us she can pay it later 99% of the time and then conveniently “forgets” about it and it’s left to me and my partner.
My partner and I both had conversations with her individually today as we both have different work schedules and could not all sit down and talk together, so you could only imagine it turned into a lot of “he said she said”. She concluded that her parents have a very good lawyer who can help her “have us removed from the apartment” so she can have her other unemployed friend move in and take our place. That sounds incredibly asinine to me but neither my partner nor I could afford a lawyer, nor do we have rich parents who can help us, so we don’t know what to do. Any advice would be much appreciated.
