What Should I Do Next
My best friend has gone missing, and it’s unclear whether he took his own life or if foul play was involved. Here's what happened:
Before he was officially reported missing, he sent some video messages, almost like a testament, to his girlfriend. He was working as a cook on a cruise ship in another country. We only learned about his disappearance hours later from an unknown person who contacted us. This person claimed they last saw him around 2:30 AM but hadn't had any contact since then.
Later, another friend accessed his Instagram account and discovered deleted stories that showed him with this unknown person at 3:03 AM, which contradicts the initial claim of no contact after 2:30 AM.
Currently, his phone, ID, and wallet are missing, and the authorities suspect he may have jumped over the cruise ship’s railing. However, there’s no confirmation, and the situation remains suspicious.
I want to access his email to recover his iCloud account and see if he left behind any photos or clues, but I’m unsure if doing so is legal, especially since he hasn’t been officially declared deceased.
