Wife Just Got "terminated" 2 Weeks Before Maternity Leave
Wife just got "terminated" 2 weeks before maternity leave a few days after submitting FMLA documents. Hr has known since early December, maternity leave to begin on Jan 2nd and all documents submitted per employee handbook. We were recently acquired by another company, some people were laid off and her documents specifically state termination. We live in Arizona and she worked remotely for a company in Colorado. Do we have any case for wrongful termination or anything against pregnancy fairness or discrimination act? She's been with the company for 2.5 years. No one else in her department was termed.
