Windshield Company Refusing To Put In Windshield, Car Without Windshield Now

I'll try to be brief- Polk county, Florida [Davenport/Lakeland]

Our only vechile had a large crack in the windshield. We called big-name glass replacer and made an appointment. They came out, removed the glass and informed me that the pinch weld was badly damaged and the glass could not be put in until it was welded. The technician game me 3 phone numbers of welders, only 1 said he could do the job but was 1.5 hours out, so the price to weld would be $500

I paid for the welder personally and he did the weld and left. Technician comes back and informs me he "didnt make it smooth" and still could not put in the glass.

They are arguing my fight is with the welder who wants more money to come back out. I am arguing that they gave me this mans number, they are responsible. They argued back that "we were just trying to help you out, he isnt one of our official vendors" I argued thats negligance on their part because I was not informed this was just some guy they googled.

The car is without a windshield. It is undriveable

What legal actions can I take? And is my case against Big Glass Company or the welder?
