Workplace Discrimination?

My employer (in Ohio ) , just announced they are giving out a new paid time off called family leave . You get 40 hours of time to take off for anything that involves your kid whether it be a random event or an emergency or they wake up sick or whatever . They said you only can use this time if you have kids , otherwise you are still awarded it but can’t take it for anything else . They announced to afford this benefit for hard working parents that starting immediately they are taking away our yearly 40 hours of sick leave (you can use in case you are sick or have a family emergency ) and only letting us keep our pto. Could this be considered discrimination against people like me and my wife who have struggled for years to conceive since they are taking away some of our benefits to support benefits for those that were more fortunate in their efforts to conceive ?
