Online Betting Goes Wild For Trump Possibilities – Including Third Term

Online sports betting sites have ramped up their focus on President Donald Trump and the presidency. American politics has been bet on for some time, but websites like BetOnline have entire sections dedicated to it now.

What’s surprising is how far forward the bets are looking. Wagers around who will be the next president come 2028 are already being lobbied around. There’s a strong chance it’ll be Vice President JD Vance, however, BetOnline has listed a huge number of Republican potentials, along with right-wing pundits who now stand a better chance since Trump’s current cabinet started to form.

However, it does give an insight into what people believe will happen in the country under Trump’s thumb. There’s a +5000 bet for the possibility that Trump scraps the two-term limit on the presidency. Off the back of this, Obama and Bill Clinton have been pitched to betters as the Democratic nomination, but neither have indicated that they’d be remotely interested in taking another shot if the two-term limit were to be abolished.

This then ties into the bet that revolves around his potential exit date. BetOnline currently has a -300 chance of this happening. Right now, if you were to bet $10, you’d only come away with $3.33. However, $100 could be yours if you think he won’t make it to the end of 2025.

Trump bets are rife online

One of the possibilities that is eligible to bet on is whether or not the Trump administration will decide to invade a country. Trump has made it clear that he’s interested in the Panama Canal and making Greenland part of America. Currently, the odds are -1500 to Panama (which Blackrock has bought the ports to the canal in the last week) and +600 to Greenland, which was referenced in Trump’s speech this week.

BetOnline isn’t the only place, however. Website Polymarket, which is also legal to use in the US, is awash with political bets. While BetOnline and other, more legitimate betting houses are fully focused on overall happenings in Trump’s presidency, Polymarket is reactive to potential very near future possibilities.

Betters are wagering crypto on everything from when Trump will meet with Putin to how many people Trump will deport in 2025. 48% of people believe that the admin will manage 250K to 500K.

Even Elon Musk is being bet on, with Polymarket having an entire section dedicated to DOGE’s actions. Of course, these include obvious bets like how many jobs will be cut or whether or not Fort Knox will be audited. There’s also $3000 volume behind whether or not Musk will be ousted from his position in the inevitable schism.
