Once activated, cardholders can earn 10,000 bonus points when purchasing a hotel stay through the Chase Travel portal with the eligible card that was activated for this offer. Note that your hotel stay must total at least $400 in a single transaction, and you must book by Jan. 31, 2025, and travel by Aug. 31, 2025, to receive the bonus points.
According to the terms and conditions, cardholders can redeem points through Chase Travel for a hotel stay, but points will not count toward the minimum spending requirement. For example, if you redeem 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points for a 5-night stay, you’ll still have to partially pay a minimum of $400 with your card for your hotel stay. Additionally, “reserve now, pay later” and canceled or refunded purchases will not be eligible for this bonus offer.

Cardholders must book and complete travel by the end date. Note this bonus can only be earned once per cardmember; therefore, even if you have multiple eligible Chase cards, you will not earn additional bonus points. Bonus points will be credited up to eight weeks after completing this promotion.
Remember that most hotel bookings made through a third party like Chase Travel are not eligible for elite status benefits like early check-in and free breakfast. So, if you do hold elite status, weigh those benefits against the bonus points you would earn for this promotion. Alternatively, this could be a good time to book a boutique property that doesn’t participate in a major hotel loyalty program.
However, for premium Chase cardholders, booking a hotel stay through The Edit by Chase Travel may allow you to double dip and maximize your rewards. Last month, TPG discovered that booking select properties through The Edit allows you to earn hotel points and enjoy elite status benefits.
Overall, securing an additional 10,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points when booking through Chase Travel is a great promotion, especially if you are already planning your 2025 travel itinerary.
