Toronto Plane Crash: Watch Video Of The Moment Delta Jet Lands, Flips Upside Down

The moment a Delta Air Lines regional jet crashed at Toronto Pearson International Airport was captured on video Monday.
The jet, operated by subsidiary Endeavor Air, is seen flipping onto its back as it attempted to land on the runway at the end of its flight from Minnesota. The crash sent 21 of the 80 people on board to the hospital, though 19 had been released as of Wednesday morning, Delta said in a statement.
An investigation into the crash is underway, led by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
Most passengers self-evacuated from the overturned jet before first responders reached the scene, according to Toronto Airport Fire Chief Todd Aitken.
"I believe that most of the passengers self-evacuated at that time and, upon arrival, they were being escorted to a second location," Aiken said during a media briefing Tuesday.
Toronto Pearson President and CEO Deborah Flint pledged to continue to care for the affected passengers after the crash.
"We have taken great time and care to extend care to each of the passengers that were here after the accident. That includes comfort as well as support in their emotional well-being in the hours since the crash," Flint said during a Tuesday press conference. "We’ll continue to care for them during this extended time."
